Conducting market research activities prior to entering the Vietnam market or organizing inspection tour.

Sample of a mini – market research

Request from the Sale Representative of a [Japanese enterprise A selling stationery] to provide examples and explaination.

Currently, Enterprise A is thinking about expanding their market overseas and Vietnam has become one of the candidates. So far they have not had any experience doing business in a foreign country, either where to begin or if there is a need for stationery in the market. Since it is important to have a brief knowledege before conducting a market inspection trip, the following information is fundamental

  • [Which kinds of shop are selling stationery?]
  • [At what price?]
  • [What are the consumers’ thoughts about Japanese stationery]

Such case is an example of what is called mini-market research

Conducting a mini market research

Survey categories will be determined before executing the research.

Nextly, hypothesis about the survey targets will be given. The targets might be students, children, social workers, etc.

Once the targets are determined, survey items will be decided.

Locations of distribution (shopping malls, markets, on the street, etc.), prices, etc.

For each location, how many products are distributed.

When deciding the investigation items, our staff will conduct trips to markets and shops directly, searching for stores selling the investigating products.

We will research about the current situation and decide which items should be investigated. We will also accompany you during the research as well as support in questionaires distributing.

  • Where to buy?
  • Purchase at what price?
  • Which product are often used?
  • What is the consumers’ thought?

And so on. We listen to the consumers’ voice.

Mini market research report

The complete survey content will be summarized in the report, which will be submitted to our customers.
